MMXXVI Edition

The Ceremony

The inaugural UWL Game Awards brought together students, staff, alumni and industry guests to celebrate the incredible work produced across games, esports, research and creative practice throughout the academic year. Watch the full awards ceremony below.

The Awards

The UWL Game Awards celebrate achievement across game development and game-adjacent creative practice, including design, art, audio, technical work, production, research, and media.

These awards are intended to recognise not only polished final outcomes, but strong ideas, thoughtful execution, experimentation, and real-world skills developed through making games.

Nominations are self-submitted (or submitted on behalf of peers), reflecting industry practice where developers are expected to clearly communicate the value, impact, and intent of their work through supporting evidence.

Submissions may relate to a single project or a body of work produced across the academic year, and should highlight what makes the contribution distinctive, effective, or meaningful.

Join us again in academic year 2026-27 for our next event.
